Windwhisper was the size of a horse, or at least near that size. He had grown into a grand animal, strong and bold with beautiful colorations of a white underside and a black top side. His scales sent shimmers across the foliage as Rae walked beside him. There was no more sitting on her shoulder, he had to follow her now. They had yet to take a first flight, they had forgotten about that. At the moment they were looking for the elevn town.
His wings were hugged tight to his body, it was difficult for him to move in the thick undergrowth of the forest. Still he managed by crawling under brush on his belly, his long slender whip like tail swaying behind him. He was a fine young dragon and was taking on the lean and beautiful body of a dragon of the mountain clan. Rae had grown as well, she had changed along with him, even her powers had grown, they were stronger now, they could defend themselves, and he could do what he had always dreamed, he could protect her now.
OOC: You have two new powers: - Read minds if you touch people. - Slight telepathic, can move objects with your mind.

Rae looked on Windwhisper, he had become huge but beautiful. She had also changed, her hair was long now but it was not only physical she had changed, her feelings had changed too, she felt that she had turned from a child and into a mature woman, she had lesser and lesser fits of anger but that came maybe from not being near humans as little as possible. She had gotten stronger when it came to her magical abilities. She had some new, she had tried to move objects with just her mind. it had worked but she had got a terrible headache, she needed more practice.
He sure is big now. It feels like it's not so long time ago since I carried him in my arms. Now it's the other way around, it's his turn to carry me.
The thought made her smile and a warm feeling filled her. He was both her baby and best friend and she knew she would see completely red if someone as much as thought about hurting him.
How are you doing? Hopefully we can walk on a path with less vegetation soon.it doesn't seem like there are any villages around and it don't look like the kings men has been her either. The forest are what can I call it untouched and there are more animals here than any other places we have visited before.
Rae was longing after relaxation, to rest in a place, maybe in several days without having to act like a rabbit. She was mentally and physical tired and wanted to just lay down on the ground, staring up on the sky and just relax. She missed that.
I will rest when we reach the elven town. We both will rest there and be safe.
The thought made her curious, she had never seen a elf in her life, she had heard histories about them but weren't sure if they looked the same way as in them.
What do you think an elf looks like? Tall and beautiful perhaps, they are often that in stories.

His head turned, jaw locked, teeth pearing out from under his lip, rows of ivory set against ebony scales. Her was so...diffrent.

I am well, these trees can not do much to my thick hide. His voice sound a lot older and stronger. The tone was deeper and even the way his words entered your mind were filled with wisdom. Silver eyes looked the wolrd over, It seems the King can not even tame the wilderness. They say he can not even enter them as long as...as long as there are unicorns.

Unicorns? Rae looked at Windwhisper for a second with suprise in her eyes before she just smiled and turned her attention back to the path they was walking on. He was much wiser than she was and all the stories she had heard as a child had to come from somewhere so it should not be a big suprise to her that they existed in the real world.
How is it to fly?
She had also other questions whirring around in her head about the world as he knew it but it could wait until later, she was thinking to much anyway. She heard a noise and stopped, in an instant she had her hand on her knife and she almost held her breath.

Stopping he turned his head and sniffed the air. A growl escaped his maw. 'We are being followed...by humans.'
Not just humans, there was another smell, but he had never come across it before. It was nothing he knew of, but he could feel it. Pure evil and malice seemed to come from it, and he could tell it did not belong here.
His sliver eyes shot down at her, 'Rae...something...something’s not right here.'
A bunch of brush moved, this something was coming at them, fast. Getting down low he growled again swaying his tail like an angered cat. As he opened his jaws something burst forth, something horrid.
The beast had not face, but it had a mouth, and a sickingly long tongue. It's teeth were razor sharp and now it hit him. The smell, he had come across it before, that black cloud of smoke. No, his eyes grew wide as he looked at the tall, thin beast.
'Rae it's from the Darkness. Evil, watch out.' The creature lunged at him with a scream as another came from the brush. Swinging his tail he struck it across the back making a cut from the force.

Rae tried to keep the fear that was threatening to take control over her back. She had never seen anything like this before and did not know what she should do to defeat it.
This thing is fast! What shall I do?
Running was out of the question, she could not turn her back to wards this creature.
She tried to concentrate about one of the rocks that was laying on the ground while she tried to keep her distance. The creature let out a scream, it sounded more of annoyance than pain and turned what she thought what it's face against her.
In a instant she had her knife in her hand and tried to hurt it by throwing fireballs from her other hand. The next thing she felt was pain ripping through her arm where the creature had bitten her.

Lifting a front leg he hissed in pain, it had hurt her, he could feel pain. Silver eyes shot an angry glair at the beast. 'Do you wish for death hell beast, because you have just asked for it by your act of harming my rider.'
In an attempt to lung forward he was caught up in the thick brush, there was not enough room for him to attack. now he wished he could be small again. The beast however had no problem moving about at high speed and slashed a claw across his face. The claws had not dug to deep into the solid scales, but the small scratches still stung.
Opening his mouth he bit down at the creature missing it my inches. Snaking his neck back to Rae he looked on in horror as two more snuck up behind her. How many of these things were their? His wings shot open and shielded her from an attack. The weapons in the beasts hands ripped into his soft wings and made a long cut. He let his head shot up and let out a painful roar.
At least Rae was safe, but not for long. To many of the creatures stood around him, pinning him in a circle. The only way out was up. Looking at a small clearing above him he squinted his eyes. Was he big enough yet, they had not tried to fly together, could he carry her? He had to make the desiction now before they were both killed.
'Rae, climb onto my back, let see if these things have wings.'
They would just have to find out if he could fly with her on his back. He was not going to stay on the ground, and no matter what he was not leaving Rae to defend herself.

Windwhispers pain filled her body and woke her up, he was shielding her with his own body. Blood was running from her arm and she tried to stop it. A bad feeling filled her, this was not like a normal bite, these creatures were far from normal.
'Rae, climb onto my back, let see if these things have wings.'
She looked on him without saying anything and tried to get up on his back, after a few attempts she sat on his back. It felt weird and she could feel how her heart increased it's speed. She put her arms around his neck.
'I'm ready, let's go.'
She tried to sound confident, she were unsure if her own pain was troubling him to much and if she was to heavy from him to fly with. If he was, they were doomed if not someone showed up and saved they're life's.

His wings continued to shield his rider, no matter what no one would hurt her as long as he lived. Opening his jaws he let snapped at on of the beasts as it tried to grab for Rae, but the ting only had his arm bitten by the rabid dragon.
Now Rae held tight, he had never flown with her before, but it was a good as time then ever to start. Wings crashed into bushed and low branches as they shot open, the full span at least 17 to 20 feet. His chest barreled out as he rose up off the ground. Then with his legs coiled he sprung up, wings thrusting down with such a force it knocked the demons back.
His body rose up into the canopy where the trees were mighty and tall. Trunks so wide at the girth he could have burrowed into them, the space was plenty for him to fly under their leaves and rays of light shinning down.
One of the beasts grasped onto the tree trunk and climbed with great speed. The chasse was on, with a beat of his wings it made a thundering clap, gusts of wind rolled under him as he launched forward, her teeth shinning in the light as a snarled escaped him. His wing was hurting, the wing ripped through the hole like a dagger, but he had to protect her, he had to keep her safe.
One of the demons dropped from a tree and grabbed hold of his lag. Letting out a hiss he yelled to Rae.
'Hold on tight.'
Wings hugged his side as her rolled through the air and towards the undergrowth. Wings shot open again and he banked around the trunk of the giant tree trying to lose his unwanted passenger. Tail whipped madly, snapping a branch free so it crashed bellow falling onto one of the demons. Finally the beast could take no more and his arms slid lose. Still others close at his heels jumping from tree to tree, they could jump far, and they had sharp claws, he would have to watch out.

Rae's arms held on even tighter in a attempt to not fall off while Windwhisper tried to get rid of the beasts.
If I just was able to use my weapons. I'm useless like this.
She knew that if she treid to use her bow she would most likely fall off his backbut she still had one arm that worked as it should, perhaps if she tried to use magic to at least hold them away from him until they got on a safe distance.
The arm was trobbling her even more but she tried to forget about the pain when she had to use it to keep her on his back. Arya consentrated about one of the creatures but it was hard to get a good hit because they was moving so fast.
A scream filled the air when a sudden gust wind sent it flying to wards the ground, it would maybe not be enoguh to kill it but it would delay it. Sharp eyes searched for another black spot in all the green before she suddenly started to fell dizzy. She could feel how they got higher and clutched her other arm around his neck.
'Something are wrong with me... I don't feel... well.'

His voice scream in her mind, filled both with fear and rage of those beasts. It was all their fault. Did they have a poisonous bit? All the same they had to make it to the elves they would know what to do.
Beating his wings harder he fought back his own pain, his wounded wing laboring, and on top of it he was feeling lightheaded and his vision was getting blurry. Snapping his jaws blood flew from his mouth mixed with foam. Poison they had to be using poison, he could feel it running through his own veins like fire, but he could fight it, dragons were immune to many poisons, but not humans.

Beating his wings harder the sound matched with his own heart, his eyes growing heavy. Hissing beasts seemed to fade away as the world got dark, but still he fought, he had to keep her safe. No more where those beasts chasing them, why had they called off the attack?
Looking down he could see smoke, not from a fire but from a house...no not a house, a tree...a tree that was a home. Closing his eyes he was sure this was a safe place, he promised her, and they had made it. Wings folding to his side his eyes shut, his lungs felt strained as he felt her choking.
'I love you Rae, hold on, and don't ever let me go. You'll be safe soon, just fight it, we are so close.'
Wind rushed pass his face as his body fell from the sky, his wounded wing burned so much, he tried to flap it but it hurt. Opening his eyes he saw the ground closing in, rolling to his side he was willing to take the full impact to keep her safe, he had to keep her safe. She could be dieing from poison and he had to get her to the healers. Feeling the effect on her he shook off his own venom that ran through him, it was not going to take him or Rae, they were strong, they had to make it together. If she died so did he, and he could feel himself fading.
Body slammed into the ground sending dust up into the air. The wind was knocked out of him as he tried to take in a gulp, he was still alive, that was good. Everything was blurry around him, but he could see forms moving closer. Where they friend or foe, he did not know. Letting out a growl he continued to live up to protecting his rider.
"Easy my Friend, we mean you and your rider no harm."
The voice spoke in elven, he did not know why, but he could understand perfectly. Closing his eyes he felt a warm sensation go over him and he drifted into sleep.
Please may the gods spare her, even if I were to live without her it would be no life that i would want. I am happy that I would die with her for I could never live on without her. Please let us be okay.

A soft warm feeling filled her body and something that sounded like songs filled her ears and got her out of the darkness that had kept her captive. Her eyes fluttered open and she had to blink a couple of times to be able to see the things that was around her clearly. A ceiling or something she thought was a ceiling was the first thing she saw and after some minutes of staring at it her brain finally told her that a ceiling meant that she was inside. She managed to sit up and opened her mouth as to call for anyone that could be near but as usual there was no sound coming out.
I'm stupid, how could I forget....
Then she saw a bandage on her arm and remembered everything that had happened, the strange creatures in the forest, they had managed to get away from them but where was she now and where was he?
'Windwhisper, can you hear me? Are you all right?'
A small feeling of fear filled her and she tried to concentrate about what was around her, she was still in her clothes or sort of, some part of it had been removed but it did cover what was necessarily but her weapons was gone. There was none in the room beside her and after a couple of attempts she managed to get out of the bed and somewhat stand on her feet, with more willpower than physical strength she moved to wards the door that was the first obstacle between her and Windwhisper.
A grimace filled her face when she slowly got closer to the door, she opened it and peeked out. If she had the time she would have used some time to look at the view but her mind was closed off. She snuck out the door and started to move down wards something that looked like a hall.
"So you are finally up? Where do you think you are going?"
The voice made her stiffen and she turned slowly to look at however that was behind her.

Wind opened his eyes, his vision blurry for a moment before it became clear again. He felt soft grass beneath him and heard the sounds of giggling children...no not children...women. Lifting his head he looked around to see three raven-haired elves holding bows of meat and water. All three giggled, they were very young, especially for elves, perhaps only 50 or 60 years which was a teen in elvin. His black scales shimmered in the light as he looked at the bandages around his back leg and chest. They had fixed him up nicely indeed.
It seemed still that the elves had not seen a dragon, or at least a good dragon in all their lives so they had to be young. Snapping up some meat from a bows he hissed as he swallowed it down, his tail flicking behind him. Then an adult elf came into view, the light reflecting behind her making her seem angelic. her silver blond hair and bright blue eyes made him understand the beauty of an elf.
"You have slept long dragon, I am able to speak to you through thought, but I find it rude so will words do four you my lord?"
Wind lowered his head in a yes, elves were magical creatures known to speak with dragons.
"I do hope you feel better my lord, and I do hope that you are not of his dragons. You seem to young so perhaps you are a friend."
"Indeed I am a friend." He replied through her mind. Then a fuzzy voice entered his head. It was not fully focused and kind of bounced around a lot. Rae...it had to be her. Standing up he rose to the size of a good war horse and looked down at the elves.
"Please tell me of where my Rae is."
"My family is housing her with us. She is in the largest tree near the center of town."
Once the words left her mouth a gust of wind shot pass them as Windwhisper took to the sky. His wings carrying him through the trees. Lights flickered from windows, though dull in the sunlight. Birds sang as the sounds of flutes and voice filled the air. A large tree caught his eyes. A window giving away the fact that it was a house. He could smell her, Rae. Flying over to a large branch her sat down. Impressed by the size of the trees that they could hold a dragon as if it were a bird. Looking down into the window he spotted his short haired human and gave a dragons smile. Letting out a roar his silver eyes light up as her name rumbled excitedly into her mind.
